...both metaphorically and literally.
This is what I did to myself today during "field day" at school. It rained, so field day had to take place in a gym. Combine that with the fact that I am really bad at "dizzy bat," and, well, you can see what happens. I had also been meditating this weekend on what it means to live with the constant disappointment of a fallen world, and then today when I walked home with my bloodied kneecaps, my roommate announced to whoever she was on the phone with, "Oh, no, Sarah fell down!" (Side note: I think it's important that she didn't even ask what happened; she assumed I did it to myself. And she's only lived with me for 3 weeks now--is it that obvious that I'm a klutz?!) Anyways, the lyrics to the hymn "Come, Ye Sinners" popped into my head, and I thought it was a clever enough metaphor to post.
Plus, I want someone to feel sorry for me. These hurt!
