it's all a matter of perspective

Just thought this was really cute: I was babysitting today for a 3 1/2 year old, and since Thanksgiving is coming up we started talking about Thanksgiving foods. She asked me how long it would take to cook a Turkey, and I laughed and said, "A long, long time." She thought about it for a moment, and then her face lit up with a moment of realization as she responded, "Oh, so it's like when Mom cooks mac-n-cheese!" I just laughed and responded that it was something like that. It was funny, because I know mac-n-cheese is her favorite food, and so probably in her mind the 20 minutes it takes to make it is a REALLY long time to wait. I just hope she won't notice next week when the Turkey takes a little longer than 20 minutes...
